It was his dazzling design for the nuptials of movie stars Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas that launched the legendary event now known as “The Wedding of the Century.”
Expert at transforming venues here in the United States, David also travels abroad to design international parties for clients in Europe, the Mediterranean area, Asia and other key global destinations.
His imaginative luxury weddings—as well as his keen insights relating to innovative social and corporate celebrations—are consistently featured in national media, including New York magazine, Town & Country, People, The New York Times, Elle Decor as well as leading bridal vehicles such as Brides, Elegant Bride, Modern Bride, Grace Ormonde’s Wedding Style, The Knot.com, La Bella Bride, among many others. He has appeared on many national TV shows, including network morning shows, Martha Stewart, My Celebrity Wedding, Queer Eye For The Straight Guy and many other successful lifestyle shows.
David grew up in Virginia, near the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains where his love of botanicals began when he apprenticed in his godfather’s flower shop. After obtaining his Master’s degree, David moved to Manhattan where his background in theater, music and art easily adapted to staging unusual event designs that became celebrated for spectacular innovations and transformative visuals.
An expert at incorporating a client’s personal style into any event, David suggests that décor should never be staid, adding, "I’m driven to make each occasion truly unique. And completely memorable."
